Expanding Our SCADA Capabilities: Building for What Comes Next

By AUTOSOL |

Industrial operators aren't asking if they should modernize anymore; they're asking how to do it without causing downtime, losing data consistency, or getting stuck with short-term fixes. At AUTOSOL, we believe the key is practical, customer-focused modernization, solutions built on real-world experience and designed to support your operations today and prepare you for what's next. And with decades of experience building industrial software, knowing how to do this comes naturally to us

That belief is driving the expansion of our SCADA and Engineering group with a dedicated Ignition-focused team.

A Customer-First Investment in SCADA Solutions

AUTOSOL has formed a new Ignition-focused team within our SCADA and Engineering group to better support customers modernizing legacy environments and preparing for more flexible, data-driven architectures. This team is integrated into AUTOSOL's solution delivery approach to ensure modernization efforts stay closely aligned with operational realities. And whether or not a project involves AUTOSOL software, our team will work on Ignition, ensuring the expertise and support needed to move forward confidently.

The goal is simple: help customers move forward with confidence, using proven platforms and architectures that support long-term adaptability.

Leadership with Hands-On Experience

The team is led by Lisa Clark, Manager of SCADA Solutions at AUTOSOL, who brings more than seven years of hands-on Ignition experience to the organization. Lisa has worked directly with operators to design, deploy, and evolve Ignition-based systems across demanding industrial environments, bridging the gap between technical architecture and operational outcomes.

She works closely with Trent Franklin, Director of SCADA and Engineering, to ensure this growing capability remains aligned with AUTOSOL’s broader delivery standards, cybersecurity practices, and modernization philosophy. The team is structured for focused execution today, with deliberate expansion aligned to customer needs, not trends.

This emphasis on people and experience reflects how AUTOSOL approaches technology: platforms matter, but outcomes depend on how they’re applied.

Ignition as Part of a Broader Architecture

Ignition plays an important role in modern SCADA strategies because of its flexibility, openness, and alignment with MQTT-based data flows. For many upstream oil & gas and utility operators, it offers a practical path to modernizing visualization, integration, and system extensibility without forcing disruptive rip-and-replace projects.

AUTOSOL’s participation in the Inductive Automation Technology Provider Program reinforces this capability, but the focus remains on solutions—not platforms. Ignition is one piece of a broader architecture designed to support interoperability, scalability, and long system lifecycles.

Preparing for the Next Phase of Industrial Data

Many customers are already exploring or actively moving toward architectures that rely on MQTT, edge intelligence, and more decoupled data models. AUTOSOL’s Ignition-focused team is helping customers lay the groundwork for these approaches today, while preserving operational stability.

This work aligns naturally with AUTOSOL’s Communication Manager (ACM) and our broader industrial data strategy, which creates a foundation where SCADA, edge systems, and enterprise platforms can evolve together. As customers prepare for the next phase of industrial data intelligence, these building blocks become increasingly important.

What This Means for Customers

For customers, this expansion means:

  • Deeper hands-on expertise in Ignition-based SCADA environments
  • Practical modernization strategies tailored to upstream and utility operations
  • Architectures designed to support MQTT and interoperable data flows
  • A long-term solution provider focused on outcomes, not products

Most importantly, it reflects AUTOSOL’s continued investment in helping customers modernize on their terms—incrementally, securely, and with a clear path forward.

Looking Ahead

This Ignition-focused team represents an important step in AUTOSOL’s ongoing evolution. It is not a pivot, but a continuation of our commitment to meet customers where they are today while preparing them for what’s next.

As industrial data architectures continue to evolve, AUTOSOL remains focused on delivering practical, future-ready solutions built on experience, trust, and long-term partnerships.
